Criteria

To be considered for the Investigator of the Year award, the nominee must be a member in good standing of OR-IASIU and IASIU both during the year of the award and at the time of the award.  It is not a requirement for a nominee to have played a significant role in a single, large-impact investigation.  Consideration is given for the overall investigative results obtained by the nominee.  The nominated contributions must have occurred during the year of the award.

  • Impact made to the nominee’s special investigation unit

  • Impact made to the nominee’s company

  • Positive effect the nominee’s  investigation(s) and anti-fraud contributions have on the insurance industry

  • Positive effect the nominee’s investigation(s) and anti-fraud contributions have on the outside community

  • Uniqueness and exceptional qualities of the investigation(s)

While it is important to share information about the background and outstanding personal attributes of the investigator to the committee, the award is based solely on the investigation(s) as it is presented by the contributor.
